"Comfortable Beds"

"Our stay was very enjoyable, thank you. Great opportunity to sleep in and the beds were very comfortable. We spent a nice evening sitting under the maple trees enjoying a glass of wine. The kitchen had every thing we wanted and supplying coffee pods was a nice touch. We look forward to our next visit."

You and Carrie were our first hosting experience. Thank you so much for being kind and considerate guests. Look forward to hosting you again in the future.

Joyce and Alex

"Had so much fun here"

"We had so much fun here. When we arrived Joyce was there to greet us. She is very nice and helpful. She arranged the rooms as we requested: had a crib for our baby, changing station, and lots of toys for our little girl. The place was spotless. Very clean. feels like home. comfortable beds. Basically, anything u might need, this place has :) all in all, stay here and you wont regret it. My favorite spot was the patio with garden view and a BBQ and beautiful lighting outside! The grill was very clean and the food tastes so much better with that view! The only thing missing from this beautiful house is a pool and hot tub. That would be the ultimate bonus! Thank you Joyce and Alex for having us. we will see you guys again. Cheers."

"Place is beautiful and stylish"

"What an amazing host Joyce is - first her kind and genuine personality. The home is beautiful with many extra thoughtful touches. Joyce went out of her way to help us with a few things too. The place was beautiful and stylish with a wonderful view and in a serene neighbourhood. The kids were in heaven with the deer that would come right on to the property. These hosts go far and above to make sure your stay is amazing, highly recommend this place for a stay."

About the Cowichan Valley

Cowichan takes its name from Quw’utsun’, an Indigenous word that means The Warm Land.

Cowichan is located in Canada’s only maritime Mediterranean climatic zone and is home to the warmest year–round temperatures in the country. For decades now, Cowichan has been producing amazing artisanal food and drink from the region’s burgeoning farms, wineries, cideries and distilleries. Yet, the food and drink are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg! From concerts and festivals to outdoor fun, like river tubing, biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking and more, Cowichan features a myriad of things to do all year round.  But what really makes this warm land live up to its name is the chill, unhurried pace and the many quiet, unspoiled spots to enjoy it in.

Weather:  Canada’s only maritime Mediterranean climatic zone, Cowichan boasts the warmest mean year-round temperatures in Canada and the country’s longest growing season.  Summer temperatures average 23°C (73°F), while winter months average 6°C (42°F).  Cowichan logs 1,845 average annual hours of sunshine, making this a prime Vancouver Island wine region.
